چکیده

By visual inspection, both models produce good quality RBF images. However, comparison of regional averages to RBF values that were calculated from regional TACs (Figure C1), show that RBV must be included in the model (three-parameter model) if similar RBF estimates are required. RBF may be very sensitive to RBV, and if RBV is not fitted as the third parameter, or not corrected based on [O]CO scan, it may lead to increased variability in addition to strong overestimation of RBF (Figure 1). Pixel-by-pixel and regionally estimated RBV values seem to be well correlated (Figure C2). Examples of RBF and RBV images calculated with the two methods are shown in Figures C3-5.

Quantitative cerebral blood flow measurement with dynamic perfusion CT using the vascular-pixel elimination method: comparison with H2(15)O positron emission tomography.

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE Blood vessels are usually conspicuous on dynamic CT perfusion images. The presence of large vessels may lead to overestimation of the quantitative value of cerebral blood flow (CBF). We evaluated the efficacy of the vascular-pixel elimination (VPE) method in quantitative CT perfusion imaging, in comparison with positron emission tomography (PET). METHODS Five healthy vo...

Optimization of Gate’s technique for measurement of GFR during routine renal scan [Persian]

Using Gate’s technique for GFR measurement with Gamma camera, the patient is received 5mCi of Tc-99m-DTPA. By this amount of radioactivity, good quality renal scan is not possible. This study tries to optimize Gate’s technique for GFR measurement during routine renal scan (with 10-15 mCi). Methods and materials: Scanning was performed for 60 seconds from samples of Tc-99m with activities ...

The influence of misregistration between CT and SPECT images on the accuracy of CT-based attenuation correction of cardiac SPECT/CT imaging: Phantom and clinical studies

Introduction: Integration of single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) and computed tomography (CT) scanners into SPECT/CT hybrid systems permit detection of coronary artery disease in myocardial perfusion imaging (MPI). Misregistration between CT and emission data can produce some errors in uptake value of SPECT images. The aim of this study was evaluate the influence...

Comparison of Local and Non-Local Methods in Covariance Matrix Estimation by Using Multi-baseline SAR Interferometry and Height Extraction for Principal Components with Maximum Likelihood Approach

By today, the technology of synthetic aperture radar (SAR) interferometry (InSAR) has been largely exploited in digital elevation model (DEM) generation and deformation mapping. Conventional InSAR technique exploits two SAR images acquired from slightly different angles, in which the information of elevation and deformation can be captured through processing of the phase difference of the image...

روشی نوین در کاهش نوفه رایسین از مقدار بزرگی سیگنال دیفیوژن در تصویربرداری تشدید مغناطیسی (MRI)

The true MR signal intensity extracted from noisy MR magnitude images is biased with the Rician noise caused by noise rectification in the magnitude calculation for low intensity pixels. This noise is more problematic when a quantitative analysis is performed based on the magnitude images with low SNR(<3.0). In such cases, the received signal for both the real and imaginary components will fluc...
